Bookwave 2015, the original nonprofit book drive, was held for the third time at the Benaki Museum, Pireos Street, from the 23rd to the 27th of November. It’s aim was to collect books for libraries of Kindergartens and Primary Schools in Greece. The event was held with the support of the Bodossaki Foundation and the Benaki Museum.
100 Kindergarten from every corner of Greece and 25 Primary Schools in Attica received new or gently used books from us. The books were collected and donated from the private schools, individuals and editors. In collaboration with the Lighthouse for the Blind, we gave educational materials to each school.
Once again “The Hellenic Children’s Museum” had taken up action in support of our bookwave 2015! Its volunteers put all their enthusiasm and expertise into the organization.
