We support public school libraries
Our main area of activity is the support of school libraries. The books offered through Library4all are new or in excellent condition. Our aim is that the donated books meet the real needs of schools and are an essential tool for teachers and a source of inspiration for children.
Since September 2013 we have provided more than 1,015,000 books, supporting 410,000 students, 8,500 schools, 8 paediatric hospitals, 334 institutions, social services, foundations, 42 refugee shelters and 25 municipal libraries.
We travel abroad
Apart from public schools, Library4all's activities have travelled to Greek schools outside Greece, from Cairo, Istanbul, Imbros and New York to Doha and Tbilisi.
In partnership with the non-profit Wheeling2Help we send books in English to Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda and Nepal.
We support those in need
Library4all also cooperates with refugee shelters and Greek schools where refugee children attend, donating books in Arabic, English and French. We cooperate with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Caritas Hellas and The Home Project, among others.
As part of our action, we support prison libraries and we also support KETHEA, the largest rehabilitation and social reintegration network in Greece.
Finally, the books that are not in good condition are donated to the Old Bookshop of the Homeless, for its needs.
