This morning, we sent off 80 English books that will begin their journey to Ifakara, Tanzania in a few days. The goal: for them to find new life in the hands of young readers. Along with the books, a message of love and solidarity. Agis Terzidis, a member of our Board of Directors and academic supervisor for the Postgraduate Program “Global Health – Disaster Medicine” at the University of Athens Medical School, will visit, along with students, the Ifakara Health Institute, an orphanage, and employee families. Among the books, we are also sending three books by Greek authors and illustrators, translated into English. We look forward to seeing how the pages will come alive in the hands of the young new readers.
