The relationship between Reading Grows Me and Library4all is one of love, appreciation, and cooperation that has been built over the years. Today was the first time we did something together. We went to the Eleona Thiva Women’s Detention Center, the largest women’s prison in the country. We were delighted to offer the nine mothers and their babies books suitable for infants and young children, to share during moments of tenderness and daily contact. At the same time, we enriched the Center’s library with new titles, carefully selected to meet the needs of the children and their families. We warmly thank the Director, Georgios Makris, Ms. Poulou, and Ms. Lenta from Social Services for their cooperation. The power of cooperation works wonders.
