The Scouts’ First Good Deed for 2026

A call to the entire family of the Greek Scout Corps was enough to turn love and generosity into action. Thousands of books were collected to establish and support three children’s libraries at the hospitals in Preveza, Ptolemaida, and Edessa, in collaboration with Library4all. It was the Scouts’ first major act of kindness for 2026, dedicated to the children who are treated daily in these clinics.

But the Scouts didn’t stop at just collecting and purchasing books. With passion, care, and genuine love, they created from scratch a fully equipped children’s library in the Pediatric Department of the General Hospital of Preveza, giving the children a space for knowledge, imagination, and hope.

Behind this great chain of generosity were many strong links: Scouts from every corner of Greece, Public Relations Advisor Tasos Tsiblakis, author and Honorary Member Antonis Papatheodoulou, the General Commissioner of the Greek Scout Corps, Stelios Nikogiannis, Library4all, our dear friend Pisti Krystallidou from Win Cancer, and Konstantina Pliouta, a volunteer who devotedly coordinated this entire special endeavor.

Because when generosity meets community spirit, actions are born that light up children’s smiles and leave a mark of hope where it is most needed. The initiative in Preveza proved that volunteerism remains a powerful force for social contribution and humanity

It’s worth watching the video. It’s very moving.
