A tsunami of books from children to children

Bookwave 2026 started a little earlier this year, thanks to Karolina and her wonderful team. The third child of a family that has been supporting us for years, she decided to mobilize the entire school community of St Catherine’s British School. And she did so in a way that exceeded all our expectations.

Following the example of their two older sisters, they made a poster, talked to the children, and managed to collect a small treasure as part of the CAS (Creative Action Service) project: 463 books, each one carefully chosen and loved.

When volunteerism and giving are deeply rooted in a family’s values, children grow up seeing, feeling, and ultimately continuing on this bright path. And we become witnesses to this chain of kindness that passes from generation to generation.

Our thanks are truly insufficient in light of the joy and emotion that this “tsunami” of generosity has brought us. It has filled us with hope, strength, and deep faith in what children can achieve when you give them space to shine.
